Become An Ally
“There is no significant change without significant relationships”
Are you passionate about seeing real change in your community? At Change Course, volunteers, called “Allies”, play a critical role in our work.
Give your time to invest in the lives of our Leaders (students) and their families by serving in the Change Course Program. As a volunteer, called an Ally, you could share insight from your career journey through employer panels, mock interviews, resume preparation, and encouragement.
Join the movement to abolish economic, relational, and spiritual poverty in our city — learn more about how you can volunteer below!
BE MORE THAN A VOLUNTEER—BE AN ALLY.
Give your time to invest in the lives of our Leaders and their families by serving for a six-month session. Here is what we ask of our Allies:
- Attend bi-monthly Family Gatherings
- Attend any additional training offered
- Attend small group meet-ups when planned
- Check email weekly for updates on Family Gatherings and Leaders
- Notification to Career Coach if attendance to Family Gathering will be missed
- Identify your own personal poverty

Support The Leadership Journey
Leaders apply and are accepted into a six-month-long program broken into three phases.
GROWTH
The first 6 weeks of the program is dedicated to personal and professional growth. We don’t just want Leaders to land a job—we want them to be the best version of themself, so they can find a career that lasts!
CERTIFICATION
Leaders work to complete a professional certification or pre-apprenticeship course in their selected career track.
LAND THE JOB
Once Leaders complete the certification stage, they graduate the program by landing a job in their career track. We’ll work to connect them with employers and jobs that fit their skill set.
ENDING POVERTY ONE RELATIONSHIP AT A TIME
